The 3Com 3101 Basic Phone provides simplicity for offices and ease of use for employees who need affordable, basic communications. A listen-only speakerphone, a multiline display, and 10/100 Ethernet connectivity enable users to stay connected to their peers when the sophistication of a full-featured business phone is not required. To help workers keep in touch with each other and with customers, the Basic Phone offers practical, easy-to-use features. Four programmable buttons allow users to manage calls and access frequently used features. Hold and Message buttons are clearly distinguished to help users handle calls professionally. An intuitive display with three soft keys and a four-way cursor controller provides instant access to the location's user directory and call logs. Ideal for classrooms, manufacturing floors, or common areas, the 3Com 3101 Basic Phone can be easily deployed by leveraging its built-in support for Power over Ethernet. In addition, the phone offers a switch port that allows a computer or similar Ethernet device to share the same wiring, eliminating the cost and complexity of running a second cable to each location. The 3Com 3101 Basic Phone not only optimizes voice communications now, but also delivers investment assurance for the future with its support for Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) or native 3Com NBX call control.
