H7 Premium Tuner for PC & Mac
The TerraTec H7 is a handy USB box with integrated receiver for digital television via cable (DVB-C) as well as antenna (DVB-T). Simply connect it to a free USB 2.0 port, and the discreet box transforms netbook, laptop and desktop computers into a full-function television with full HDTV support (including Dolby Digital)* and many additional features. Software for Windows and Mac computers allows operation on all household computers, extensive accessories with a remote control and power adapter are included in the shipping package.

The handy USB box is now fit for reception of high definition television (HDTV) with finest quality Dolby Digital sound on your PC*. Nothing can now stop you from enjoying television in crisp and sharp quality whenever programmes are transmitted in the selected reception standard in your reception area. After all, all monitors currently sold are able to display HDTV in its full brilliance.
Software for Mac and Windows PC
Software developed in Germany for Windows PC (TerraTec Home Cinema) and Mac (Elgato EyeTV Lite) allow the TerraTec H7 to be used everywhere. Both are simple to use, but are also full of options for optimal configuration to your needs. Time-shifted television, manual and scheduled recording in lossless quality on hard disk, electronic programme guide (EPG) and teletext plus many other interesting functions deliver a fully new television experience. Whenever you wish you can, for instance, quickly and effortlessly switch between a Windows system in the office and a mobile MacBook. Note: on Mac, for HDTV and Dolby Digital it is necessary to pay for an update to the EyeTV Full Version.
Full compatibility for versatile use
The TerraTec H7 runs on Windows XP (from Service Pack 2) and Windows Vista (from Service Pack 1) as well as on Mac from Version OSX 10.4. Additionally, there are drivers for DVB-T (Freeview) in the Windows Media Center Edition (MCE).
DVB-C: digital quality via the cable connection
Currently, in Denmark, Germany and many other European countries, cable TV is a widespread means to receive all current programmes as simply as possible. The only basic requirement is a paid cable connection, which is often included in the rent. It is important that a subscription for digital cable TV has been obtained from the regional provider. Other than the TerraTec H7, no other equipment is necessary to receive the digital signals, which are always fed in parallel; the discreet USB box replaces the normally used set-top box.
The DVB-T coverage area in Europe is growing continuously
The digital terrestrial (DVB-T) age has already begun for millions of viewers in Europe. Analogue terrestrial TV has been replaced by the new Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial (DVB-T) standard in almost all population centres. The last gaps will be closed in the foreseeable future.
Receive and record encoded programmes
Even encoded programmes (such as Boxer, Stofa, YouSee) are very easy to receive, and they can even be recorded. After all, the TerraTec H7 comes with an integrated Common Interface (CI) slot. A Conditional Access Module (CAM) must be bought and the smart card from the pay TV provider (e.g. Boxer, Stofa, YouSee) must be inserted in this module, which is then inserted into the CI slot. Nothing else is required to allow you to use the pay TV contract you entered into, now also on your computer.

Everything you need to start enjoying the world of television on your computer is included in the shipping package. Additionally, there are printed manuals (German, English, French and Italian) as well as further languages on a DVD. 36 months warranty and lifelong technical support round off the package.
