HP-2002AV turns the existing electric wires in your home or office into a high-speed network. You do not have to install the network cables and be annoyed with the cables planning - just use the wires that already run through the building! HP-2002AV enables you to create a network easily and cost-effectively. HP-2002AV not only complies with the HomePlug AV standard but also supports IGMP managed multicast session. HomePlug AV represents the next generation of technology which providing high speed 200Mbps data rate and coverage range up to 300 meters. IGMP can be used for online streaming video and gaming, and allows more efficient use of resources. With IGMP multicast, HP-2001AV can save the bandwidth of powerline. People will be able to transfer high-definition video and digital audio by simply connecting the device to an electrical outlet. HP-2002AV is designed to ensure efficient coexistence with the HomePlug 1.0 and 1.0 Turbo devices. User can use HP-2002AV and HomePlug 1.0 stations to share the CSMA/CA allocation, thus providing fair access to HomePlug 1.0 stations based on traffic priority.
