The 10.1-inch wide SVGA screen lets you view movies with much higher image quality than standard definition portable DVD players. With the DMP-B500, you can enjoy Blu-ray Disc movies or AVCHD movies and JPEG photos in an SD memory card in your living or bedroom. PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus is a high quality image-processing technology developed by Panasonic to precisely process each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the vertical direction. It reproduces color data with twice the accuracy of conventional systems to keep colors faithful and sharp. High precision 4:4:4 signal technology processes each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the horizontal direction to complement vertical direction processing. When viewed on a high end Viera TV model, which features 4:4:4 signal compatibility, it recreates images with the original film quality to further enhance movie enjoyment. With DMP-B500, JPEG photos and AVCHD movies shot with your Lumix (digital still cameras) and HD camcorders can be played back like a photo frame. The still images and movies can be played in combination, as well as viewed with a calendar and/or a clock.
